歌手。自作曲の演奏のほか、多様な発声による即興表現や声そのものを素材に、単独での演奏や様々な分野の表現者と共作、共演活動をしている。
２０２２年に、ソロアルバム「丹」を発表。
作曲家であるカール・ストーン氏とのコラボレーションは２０１５年に始まり、以降アジア、アメリカツアーに同行。２０１９年に、彼のアルバムで同名タイトル曲の「ヒマラヤ」を発表。２０２３年に、彼のマルチチャンネルオーディオ及び映像作品「Re:gendo」の世界初演に参加。
Akaihirume is a Japanese singer whose ear is always tuned to the world’s sounds, which she keeps as material in her shell.
As both her own compositions and improvisations using her wide range of vocalizations, she has worked on her solo performances and collaborations with artists in various formats.
In 2022, she released her solo album “Aka”.
She began collaborating with a composer Carl Stone in 2015 Tokyo. Their works have been performed in Asia and the United States, and she performs the title track on Stone’s album “HIMALAYA”, released in 2019. In 2023, she performed at the world premiere of Stone’s multi-channel audio and video work “Re:gendo”.
Akaihirume’s voice, sometimes gruff and animal like, sometimes clear as a bell on the Vistula, will become prime material for my patented live sampling muschief.
